We have been looking for a console table for our side entrance for about a year now, and we are happy to say that we finally settled on the table pictured above (credit: target.com) from the ‘Threshold designed by Studio McGee line’! Just in case you missed it, here are some of our favorites from that launch.
Before they announced the line about 2 weeks ago, we were considering a bunch of different options. Since it was only our side door, we didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg. So, we wanted to share with you some of the console tables we flagged as affordable possibilities (with the exception of a few from Pottery Barn that we loved).
Things to consider when looking at console tables:
- Not only is the table width important, but the depth is also a key factor. Avoid buying a deep console table if it will impede the walking space around it.
- Is the table going to be more for displaying decor or do you also want storage? For us, we wanted a place to put keys and sunglasses so we made sure the table we chose had drawers.
- What do you want to store underneath the table? Baskets (again for storage) are always beautiful stored beneath, however we also love the option of adding stools that you can pull out for extra seating on occasion.
